My favorite factoid about d'Yquem, which may be true or may be legend, is that the yields are so low that each vine in the vineyard produces one glass, I repeat, ONE GLASS, of wine. Crazy.

Wow! You're bringing it… What an awesome wine experience… Great description. I've had some pretty amazing Sauternes in the past year, but not to this level. Wines like that are so good, they're disturbingly profound at the same time… very powerful. It's great to see a blog post that says, “Fuck it, I'm not going to fool around with the wine of the week… I'm going to drop some once in a lifetime on your collective asses!” Very cool.

I won't ask how you got your hands of such stuff...

As a preview to an undisclosed side project of incredible appeal to all who love entertainment/wine and hate not-entertainment/wine, would it be fair to say that Michael Landon's character- Jonathan Smith- on "Highway to Heaven" may have been seen tucking into a bottle of this hither and thither?
