About the Notes

Notes From The Cellar was a journal of tasting notes and wine reviews (pejoratively referred to as a “blog”) written and maintained by Steve Paulo, rogue wine reviewer, software developer, baseball aficionado, and native son of California, from October 2009 until December 2011.

The slogan here has always been Tasting notes and wine reviews, posted without regard for timeliness or punctuation, but, to be honest, Steve’s punctuation is pretty good.

Started on October 12th, 2009, with nary a wine to review and barely a descriptor to wield, Notes From The Cellar grew steadily and fast became a go-to online source of information and opinion for many wine lovers.
