I’ve been reading a lot lately and thinking a lot lately about the Parker-invented 100-point rating system for wine.
I don’t think I like it.
I’m not sire what I will do about it, however. Letter grades like in school? 1-5 stars? Thumbs up / thumbs down? I will figure it out, and when I do, you’ll be made aware here. I’d still like to give my readers an idea of how I compare the wines I review to each other, but the point sytem infers a level of precision that simply isn’t there.
I’m thinking of maybe a three-raring system: Reccommended, Can’t Reccommend, Avoid? Perhaps that’s too harsh a “middle” rating, though.
Tell me what you think, in the comments or on the Facebook page.
